Your appointment for a telephone assessment with a healthcare professional

The Centre for Health and Disability Assessments has been asked by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to assess how your health condition or disability affects your capability for work. The DWP Decision Maker will use the outcome of this assessment to make sure you receive the right amount of Universal Credit. Due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, DWP has taken the decision to temporarily suspend all face-to-face assessments for health and disability-related benefits. This is to protect claimants and healthcare professionals from unnecessary risk of exposure to coronavirus.
Instead we have booked an appointment for you to have a telephone assessment. The healthcare professional will call you at:
The telephone assessment should last between 20 minutes and 1 hour, but may take longer if necessary.
If you are unavailable for this appointment, or if you need any help for your telephone assessment, please inform the appointments help desk on 0800 2888777 as soon as possible.
