My Current Situation - From Emma Goode - To Miss D Ghosh

Dear Miss D Ghosh
I am writing to you to inform you the problems I have
been having recently.
I will also be sending a copy of this letter to my GP,
Universal Credit and PIP.
I received your recent letter on Tuesday 27th July
explaining that the tissue you removed from the operation has been confirmed as
endometriosis as we expected.
I started my period on Sunday 4th July. My periods
normally last 3-4 days but this time it lasted for 2 weeks. Since then I have
been spotting with blood on and off everyday. Sometimes it's been dead blood
(also a bit smelly as well) and other times it has been red blood.
I am also been suffering with a lot of excruciating
stabbing pains in the middle of my abdomen, belly, groin and pelvic. The pain
does feel a lot more different than it used to before the operation. It now
seems to be all centralised in the middle than all over like it used to be. The
pain comes on as soon as I wake up in the morning and last for most of the day.
The past couple of days I have been struggling to get off
to sleep because I have been struggling to lie in a comfortable position in
bed. I have physically been finding it hard to lie on either side.The second I
do I get the most excruciating stabbing pain come into my sides and hips.
I have also been suffering with a lot more pain these
past few days and the pain has travelled a lot into my sides and hips.
I would like to also add that I have not been taking my
Tramadol as much as I used to. Properly one a day and that is in the morning
when I first wake up. But these past couple of days I have noticed my dosage
has slowly been drifting towards to what I used to take before the operation.
For example today, (Sunday 1st August) I have took 3 Tramadol between the hours
of 6.15am and 8pm.
I do believe as well that I have started my period again
today as I have been bleeding on and off all afternoon and the blood as been
bright red. But just so you know I haven't actually stopped bleeding for 4
weeks now.
Me and my partner is 100% convinced it is the Mirena that
causing me to have all of these pains and bleedings around the middle area now.
I have also done my research on the Mirena and I am defiantly suffering with a
lot of the pain and bleeding symptoms.
On the day I left the hospital I was told to have a 6
week Mirena check up with a nurse practitioner at my doctors. I have also have
the information written down.
I started to get in touch with my GP on Monday 26th July.
I got through on Tuesday 27th July at 11.35am. I spoke to the receptionist
telling her that I needed the appointment face to face for the check up. I
explained that I had my operation 6 weeks ago and that you fitted the Mirena at
the same time. She had no idea what I was talking about. She told me that they
never done this check up before. She also explained that there was no notes on
my file to say that I needed the check up. I told her if need be to get in
touch with you and you will explain what it is I needed from the nurse
practitioner. She didn't even know what a Mirena was until I said it was the
coil. The receptionist then even hung up on me.
I have not got the appointment and I don't think I ever
will. I have now lost all faith in my GP surgery and my partner has asked me to
put in here that he has as well.
I would like the Mirena removed as soon as possible as I
am sure it is causing me to have all the pains and the bleeding I am still
experiencing 4 weeks on from my last period.
I would like you
to remove it personally as you promised you would at your earliest convenience.
