Dear Mrs Goode
Thank you for your letter posted October 2021 regarding an update on your current
condition. | am again sorry that you are suffering with your symptoms and things have
not been better since your surgery
Again | will emphasise that you do have endometriosis, which has been confirmed at
laparoscopy and following resection of the endometriosis at histology. Unfortunately
endometriosis is a condition that can be verydifficult to treat and despite fully resecting
all the visible endometriosis it is clear that this has not helped you. There may of course
be another cause for your pain, but if there is this is unlikely to be gynaecological in
origin.
It is not my place to comment on whether you are physically or emotionallyfit to resume
work and unfortunately this assessment will need tc be done by your general
practitioner.
If you refuse to believe that your symptoms are caused by endometriosis, then you will
need to be assessed by your GP to exclude other potential causes for your pain. | would
be more than happy to have a telephone consultation with you to discuss this further.
Please contact my secretary if this is something you wish to proceed with.
